Job Title: Pipeline Integrity Specialist

Job Description:
Cathodic protection systems play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of transmission and distribution pipelines. As a Pipeline Integrity Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing corrosion monitoring and cathodic protection systems to ensure the longevity of these critical infrastructure assets.

Responsibilities:
  • Policy Formulation: Assist management in developing policies and procedures for asset integrity management, including corrosion control measures.
  • System Design: Design complex corrosion monitoring and cathodic protection systems, including specifications, calculations, and data analysis.
  • Problem Resolution: Resolve cathodic protection and interference problems, and implement corrective actions through corrosion personnel.
  • Survey Management: Manage various surveys and develop coating rehabilitation plans based on survey findings.
  • Power Source Maintenance: Maintain CCT power sources (solar), ground beds, and pipe-to-soil potential, and conduct CCT using impressed current and sacrificial anodes.
  • Rectification Activities: Monitor rectification activities and ensure effective cathodic protection levels in accordance with criteria.
  • Asset Integrity Surveys: Conduct thickness surveys, coating integrity assessments, PCM, DCVG, close interval surface potential, and interference surveys.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze CCT survey reports, provide feedback on coating deterioration, and revalidate pipeline integrity assessments.
  • Corrosion Monitoring: Review reports from assigned areas and guide action accordingly.
  • Hardware Data Analysis: Analyze pipeline hardware data and prepare courses of action.
  • In-House Repair: Develop capabilities for in-house repair of faulty equipment.
  • Technological Advancements: Stay updated on new technologies for asset integrity and corrosion monitoring.
  • Enterprise Asset Management: Utilize Enterprise Asset Management System for PM plans, material ordering, root cause failure analysis, and strategic maintenance schedules.
  • Procurement: Ensure timely and accurate procurement of necessary materials and equipment.
  • Financial Assistance: Provide critical assistance to GM in preparation, monitoring, and control of yearly revenue and CAPEX.
  • Staff Management: Manage, motivate, and train department staff to provide corrosion control services.
  • Project Supervision: Supervise new under-construction pipeline projects and monitor coating status at handover.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform any other tasks assigned by senior management.
