Teaching and Learning Expert

Job Summary:

  • Meet performance targets assigned by the department head to ensure academic excellence.
  • Work collaboratively with senior management to maintain a high-quality learning environment for students.
  • Deliver courses in accordance with faculty workload policy, fostering student engagement and development.
  • Develop and enhance teaching skills through continuous professional development, contributing to curriculum planning.
  • Implement innovative pedagogical strategies and facilitate experiential learning to promote student growth.
  • Challenge thinking, encourage debate, and foster critical discourse among students.
  • Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements, ensuring academic integrity and safety.
  • Evaluate and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to drive improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance for internal evaluation purposes.
  • Support the mentoring program, guiding 15-20 students towards academic success.
  • Update relevant data in virtual learning environments and software systems.
  • Integrate Islamic and ethical values into teaching practices, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with departmental and university committees as required.
  • Ensure teaching content aligns with the institution's mission and responds to student needs.
  • Monitor student attendance and implement strategies to improve engagement.
  • Conduct research, publish findings, and disseminate knowledge through various media channels.
  • Pursue practical applications of research outcomes, driving institutional impact.
  • Lead independent research projects, acting as principal investigator and project leader.
  • Supervise the work of others, including research teams and PhD candidates, as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Proven teaching experience, with a strong track record of innovation and student success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to design and deliver engaging curricula, incorporating emerging trends and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with capacity to evaluate complex information.
