Job Overview

  • This role involves monitoring network health using advanced tools and systems, with a focus on proactive issue prevention.
  • We are looking for a skilled Network Operations professional who can respond to alarms and incidents, perform diagnostics and troubleshooting, and escalate complex issues.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with NOC/NMS dashboards, alerting systems, and IP networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, and OSPF.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Zabbix, SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent NMS systems is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Network Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitor network health using NMS/NOC dashboards and alerting systems. Respond to alarms, anomalies, and customer-reported incidents in a timely manner.
  2. Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Perform basic diagnostics, log collection, and first-level troubleshooting to resolve issues efficiently.
  3. Escalation and Communication: Escalate unresolved issues to Level 2 support with detailed incident context and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
  4. Process Management: Carry out routine maintenance checks, scheduled log reviews, and inventory verifications to ensure smooth process execution.
  5. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of incidents, problems, and changes in ticketing systems.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in NOC or technical support roles, preferably in IP/ISP/Telecom.
  • Networking Fundamentals: Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, and OSPF.
  • NMS Tools: Familiarity with tools like Zabbix, SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent NMS systems.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, documentation, and multitasking skills, with ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and escalate efficiently.
