Job Opportunity: Country Business Leader

This is a senior leadership role that oversees the launch and growth of our business operations in Pakistan. As Country Business Leader, you will be responsible for developing and executing the country strategy, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and building a high-performing local team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services, fintech, or banking, with experience in launching or scaling fintech operations in Pakistan. They will possess in-depth knowledge of Pakistan's financial regulatory environment, including SECP, SBP, and NBFCs. The candidate should also have a proven track record of working with or managing NBFCs, digital banking, EMI, or payment platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Country Strategy & Execution:

    Develop and execute the country strategy, operational plan, and go-to-market initiatives to drive business growth.

  • Regulatory Compliance:

    Ensure compliance with Pakistan's financial regulations and policies, including obtaining necessary licenses and approvals.

  • Stakeholder Management:

    Buid relationships with local banks, government offices, financial institutions, and strategic partners to drive business growth.

  • Team Leadership:

    Recruit, build, and lead a high-performing local team to drive business success.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial services, fintech, or banking.

  • Prior leadership experience in launching or scaling fintech operations in Pakistan.

  • In-depth understanding of Pakistan's financial regulatory environment (SECP, SBP, NBFCs).

  • Proven experience working with or managing NBFCs, digital banking, EMI or payment platforms.

  • Existing network across banks, regulators, and industry stakeholders.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build from scratch and drive execution.

  • Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
