Warehouse Management Specialist Job Description

Job Summary: This senior-level position oversees the efficient management of warehouse operations, ensuring optimal inventory levels and timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of logistics systems, and the ability to optimize workflow and processes to enhance productivity and accuracy.

  • Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Supervise and lead warehouse staff, providing training and guidance to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track stock levels, manage reordering, and conduct regular audits.
  • Coordinate the distribution of products to meet customer demand while minimizing costs and optimizing delivery schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all warehouse activities and maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions actively.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management.
