Power System Control and Protection Specialist
Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Power System Control and Protection Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust control and protection systems for power grid projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing protection coordination designs and validating control and protection strategies.
- Defining control system requirements for software architecture, development, and verification.
- Performing power system network conversions, modeling, and verification using PSSE/PSCAD and PSCAD/RTDS tools.
- Designing and developing substation control philosophies, single-line diagrams (SLD), and SCADA systems.
- Collaborating with other functions to integrate control and protection systems into overall project designs.
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or relevant educational degree.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- At least 3 years of experience in substation integration design, with minimum 5 years of experience in substation protection, control, and auxiliary system design.
- Strong understanding of power system behaviors and application of protection to power systems.
- Familiarity with IEC/IEEE standards for substation design.
This role requires strong fundamental competency on HVDC, EHV/HV Designs of Grid substation (AIS & GIS) projects.
