Job Opportunity:
Research Position in Environmental SciencesWe are seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to join our team at the Department of Environmental Sciences.
This is a temporary position funded under The ILSI RESEARCH FOUNDATION project No. BRPGP006-13, titled "Linking Cry-protein persistence with microbial diversity, enzymatic activity, nutrient cycling and gaseous emissions in soils under Bt cotton in Punjab."
Job Description:
- Conduct field soil sampling
- Perform laboratory incubations
- Analyze biochemical samples
- Prepare project reports
- Develop new proposals and manuscripts
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- M.Sc or M.Phil in Environmental or related sciences/engineering
- Experience in soil biogeochemical analyses, soil microbiology, greenhouse studies, and report writing preferred
Project Benefits:
- Honorarium: Rs. 10,000 per month per post (consolidated)
- Temporary appointments; incumbent will be required to sign a bond for the entire duration of the project
