Insurance Risk Manager

This role requires an experienced professional to manage the overall operations of insurance functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounts, or business administration, with at least 10 years of experience in relevant fields.

The responsibilities of this position include managing the acquisition of adequate insurance coverage for all assets, providing support and guidance to personnel regarding renewal of insurance policies and claims handling, and ensuring timely renewal of various insurance policies by liaising with internal departments and insurance providers.

Additionally, the successful candidate will work closely with various departments to develop insurance strategies and plans, review insurance policies to confirm that they address the company's needs, and recommend any additional conditions of cover or policy terms to be introduced.

The Insurance Risk Manager will also oversee the entire insurance claims process, liaise with surveyors and loss adjusters, and manage accounting and audit of retirement funds. They will review financial statements, facilitate tender floatation processes, ensure compliance with tax statutory requirements, and advise management on financial aspects during contract negotiations.

This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of information provided for risk reporting, monitoring risks, and developing and implementing risk response strategies. The successful candidate will be able to undertake any other assignment as instructed by their immediate supervisor.
