Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to undertake the administration of infrastructure and civil projects. This role requires a strong background in contract administration, negotiation, and risk management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, developing, and administering contracts, as well as negotiating commercial terms and conditions. They will also evaluate potential risks and opportunities, initiate necessary actions, and prepare and settle claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Administration: Prepare, develop, and administer contracts for infrastructure and civil projects.
- Negotiation: Negotiate commercial terms and conditions with clients and contractors.
- Risk Management: Evaluate potential risks and opportunities, and initiate necessary actions to mitigate or capitalize on them.
- Claims Preparation: Prepare and settle claims related to contracts.
- Sub-Contractor Selection: Pre-qualify and select sub-contractors for projects.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a strong background in civil engineering and contract administration. They must also have working knowledge of FIDIC and other international forms of contracts applicable to civil engineering and EPC contracts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in contract administration, negotiation, and risk management.
- Chartered Quantity Surveyor from the Royal Institute of Quantity Surveyors England (RIQS) or equivalent certification.
Location
This position is based in Lahore, Pakistan, and involves working in the Information Technology and Services industry.
