Senior Medical Officer Role Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for providing medical supervision to all diagnostic procedures performed at cardiopulmonary diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and perform exercise tolerance test by monitoring ECG rhythm as per defined protocols and permission granted.
  2. Perform physical examination and monitor patient's progress vigilantly.
  3. Communicate the progress of patients to concerned consultant, as well as to patient and/or family.
  4. Assess patients and take consent from patient for procedure performed as per hospital protocols.
  5. Fill out interpretation and conclusion data in automated report of ETT in CPS-SAHL for reporting cardiologist of the day.
  6. Participate in educational activities, such as Grand Rounds, ECG conference, Journal Clubs, where applicable.
  7. Keep aware of infection control practices and follow same in workplace.
  8. Enhance technical skills of on board and trainee technologists by continuous education session.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • MBBS degree with Diploma (MCPS) or other additional qualification preferred.
  • At least 5 years post-MBBS related experience in cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and with teams.
