Medical Transcriptionist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Transcriptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and verifying patient reports to ensure accuracy and completeness of clinical information.

The ideal candidate will have post-secondary education or certification in a healthcare-related field and excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will also possess proven analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and verify patient reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Evaluate reports for consistency, clarity, and adherence to established medical record-keeping standards.
  • Collaborate with team leads to clarify discrepancies and ensure precise documentation.
  • Prepare and finalize reports for submission to insurance providers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education or certification in a healthcare-related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
