We are seeking a seasoned Big Data engineer to lead our team in designing and implementing scalable data platforms using Azure services.


Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is required.
  • At least 7+ years of hands-on experience in Big Data engineering with leadership or management role.
  • Proven expertise in Azure services (Data Lake Storage, Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics) is essential.
  • A strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is necessary.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the Big Data platform vision and roadmap aligned with business goals and leveraging Azure services.
  • Lead capacity planning and contribute to PI planning for effective resource allocation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing Big Data engineering teams.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Planning, Retrospective, Review) and efficient task assignment and blocker resolution.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Ensure reliable operation and continuous improvement of Azure Big Data pipelines and platform.
  • Drive project execution from backlog grooming to release management, including daily pipeline monitoring and P2 issue resolution.
  • Act as key liaison for business and technical stakeholders, providing clear communication on project progress, performance, and addressing queries effectively.
  • Champion data quality, governance, and security best practices within Azure Big Data environment.
  • Ensure adherence to code review guidelines and contribute to robust release processes.
