We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the position of Lead Data Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with data and have a strong background in software development.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data engineering principles, including data modeling, data warehousing, and data pipelines. They will also have experience with various programming languages, such as Java or C#.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data systems, including data warehouses and data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, business stakeholders, and software engineers, to identify data requirements and implement solutions.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, including architecture diagrams, data models, and technical guides.
  • Maintain and improve existing solutions, identifying areas for optimization and implementing changes as needed.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for coding standards, testing, and deployment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on data engineering.
  • Advanced SQL programming skills, with experience in database performance tuning for large datasets.
  • Proficiency in relational database management systems (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar).
  • Experience with cloud computing environments, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
  • Understanding of financial industry fundamentals.
  • Proficiency with at least one programming language, such as Java or C#.
