We are looking for skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team in the operating room nursing services department. As an operating room technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving and identifying patients scheduled for surgery
  • Ensuring proper takeover of patient files in the operating room
  • Completing per-operative documentation for patient surgeries
  • Removal and labeling of specimens during surgery
  • Scrubbing for designated cases and displaying competence in different areas
  • Assisting in the safe transportation of patients before and after surgery
  • Reporting any equipment problems to the concerned personnel
  • Coordinating with schedulers to ensure smooth running of the OR list
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A matriculation with pre-medical background and intermediate in any discipline
  • A diploma in OT technician from a reputable institution
  • Preferably one year of relevant experience
  • A good understanding of basic anatomy and physiology
  • The ability to identify surgical instruments
  • Good communication skills and ability to handle work pressure
  • A willingness to work in shift duties and at different locations
