Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to oversee our logistics operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic transport planning, ensuring optimal routes and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimal routes and delivery schedules.
  • Elapsed time of the drive and service time.
  • Capacity utilization for vehicles.

Quality Assurance

The Transportation Manager will ensure that all food products are handled with care and transported in a safe and hygienic manner.

This includes:

  • Proper disposition of food products subjected to spills or other disasters during transportation.
  • Ensure safety, hygiene, and food quality.
  • Temperature monitoring.
  • Quality check before loading, in transit, and after loading.

Loading and Unloading Operations

The Transportation Manager will be responsible for arranging labor for loading and unloading if required by clients, maintaining their records, and handling all related tasks.

This includes:

  • Coordinate loading information from the driver to the client.
  • Provide instruction/training to the workforce on how to load the cargo.
  • Optimize load and unload times.

In Transit Operations

The Transportation Manager will be responsible for responding to vehicle accidents and assisting drivers at the scene.

This includes:

  • Respond to vehicle accidents and assist the driver at the scene.
  • Monitor vehicle movement and follow up from origin to destination.
  • Handle all in-transit queries from the driver.
  • Continuously update the customer about their cargo status while in transit.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must have at least 5 years of logistics experience in the same field.

Additional requirements include:

  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Very good analytical skills regarding food products for loading.
