Senior Software Quality Assurance Professional

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop software system testing processes, resources, projects and documentation. Key responsibilities include developing policies and procedures for effective execution of software quality assurance principles and responsibilities.

Leadership in selecting and developing people and resources necessary for software quality assurance will be key to the success of this role. Ensuring adequate identification and interpretation of product requirements by assuring output from the software development process includes traceability, test requirements and usability are critical components of this position.

Effective scheduling of software quality resources/personnel to projects will also be a priority. Review of product design documentation to ensure correctness, unambiguity and verifiability of requirements stated is essential. Assistance in generating use cases to capture all functional requirements of a system during the product design phase will be required.

Evaluation of system interfaces, operational requirements and performance requirements of overall system with product development will be critical to the success of this role. Definition of test methods and creation of test plans for new or updated software projects will be key components of this position.

Recommendation of design improvements or corrections to engineers throughout the development process will be required. Maintenance of effective communication with project software engineers on project limitation, capability, performance requirement and hardware interface changes will be essential.

Execution of test plans and creation of test reports to describe program evaluation, testing and correction will be critical to the success of this role. Monitoring of program performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of issues and ensure efficiency of solution will be key components of this position.

Conduct of compatibility tests with vendor-provided options will be required.Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or information technology, or equivalent education and work experience.
  • 6 - 8 years of related work experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • Experience working with real-time embedded software.
  • Strong leadership, communication and management skills.
  • Self-starter, highly organized; Works well with all functional levels in the organization; Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills; high level of business management and facilitation skill; capability to resolve complex problems with minimum confusion, frustration, and inconveniences for all parties concerned.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in Fintech industry.
  • Working knowledge of national and international standards in a regulated environment.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with different Quality Systems.
  • Ability to manage a variety of skill sets and disciplines.
  • Previous experience in a fast pace software development industry.
  • Experience in QA Automation will be a huge benefit.
  • 2 – 3 years of work experience working as a QA Lead in a Software development environment.
