Job Description

The Programme Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of effective programmes at UN Women. As a key member of the Programme Team, this individual works closely with colleagues to develop and implement programme work plans, budgets, and proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support in the preparation of programme work plans, budgets, and proposals on programme implementation arrangements, including tracking the delivery of funds;
  • Logistical Support: Undertake all logistical, administrative and financial arrangements for organisation of meetings, workshops, events, and missions;
  • Financial Management: Create projects in Quantum system, prepare budget revisions, revise project awards and status; and determine unutilized funds and the operational and financial close of a project;

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the Programme Associate must have:

  • Administrative Experience: At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative or programme management/support is required;
  • Technical Skills: Experience in working in a computer environment using multiple office software packages is required; and preferably Oracle Cloud;
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in business or public administration is desirable.
