**Job Title:** Policy Development Officer

**About the Role:**

  • This is a challenging opportunity to lead and coordinate gender mainstreaming efforts in disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in conducting gender analysis and integrating gender-sensitive approaches into development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement gender-inclusive strategies for disaster risk management and climate change adaptation.
  • Collaborate with government bodies, women's groups, and local communities to ensure effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide training and capacity-building programs for project staff and stakeholders on gender-responsive disaster risk management.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and achievements related to gender mainstreaming.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in gender mainstreaming and disaster risk reduction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with GCF-funded projects and experience working in developing countries is an advantage.
