Global Supply Chain Specialist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective execution of international shipments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the handling and monitoring of shipments in containers, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and conditions.
  • Awareness of shipping line, customs formalities, and logistical procedures for container shipment.
  • Negotiate freight rates and book containers via inttra.
  • Coordinate accurately and timely with shipper, buyer, overseas offices, internal teams, shipping line, handling agent, supervision agency, and other parties involved in shipment.
  • Prevent cost and consequences related to non-accomplishment of shipment deadline and contractual period.
  • Work on Letters of credit - Letter of credit to be checked and verified in accordance with contractual terms and conditions followed by issuance & presentation of documents well within time.
  • Check and/or prepare shipping documents; present them for payments as per contractual terms.
  • Put the required party on contractual notices.
  • Handle claims & insurance matters related to the shipments.
  • Manage Position & Allocations.
  • Track container movement of commodities preferably.
  • Prepare weekly reports and update accurate data in working system as well as in shipment files.
  • Daily reporting/status updates of shipments under various contracts, stock positions, and highlighting potential delays or defaults.
  • Filing and maintenance of records.
  • Update KPI.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Masters in Agriculture (Specialization in Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Horticulture)
  • 3 – 6 years' experience in container execution.
