We are seeking a Procurement and Import Manager to join our team.

About the Role

The Procurement and Import Manager plays a pivotal role in streamlining our import activities and procurement operations. This role involves managing the complete import cycle, including indenting, LC opening, shipping documents, customs clearance, and delivery. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all import/export regulations, government policies, and documentation requirements.

The Procurement and Import Manager will coordinate with freight forwarders, clearing agents, and shipping lines for smooth and timely cargo clearance. They will also monitor shipment schedules, track consignments, and resolve logistics issues.

Responsibilities include optimizing duties, tariffs, and taxes while ensuring compliance with applicable laws. Additionally, the Procurement and Import Manager will identify, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers to ensure best pricing, quality, and lead times.

They will develop procurement strategies to reduce costs without compromising quality and timelines. The Procurement and Import Manager will prepare purchase orders, contracts, and agreements in line with company policies.

Maintaining vendor relationships and monitoring supplier performance through KPIs is also a key responsibility. The Procurement and Import Manager will conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities.

They will prepare cost analysis, landed cost sheets, and procurement reports for management. Close collaboration with finance is required for supplier payments, LC settlements, and duty/tax reconciliations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in imports, logistics, and procurement.
  • Strong knowledge of import/export laws, customs regulations, and banking procedures.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and procurement software.
  • Strategic thinking with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
