We are seeking a visionary and collaborative leader to serve as the Department Chair for Emergency Medicine. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and oversight to the department, ensuring excellence in patient care, research, and education.
Key Responsibilities:- Clinical Service
- Develop and implement high-quality clinical services that meet the needs of patients and the community;
- Collaborate with academic leaders to ensure alignment with departmental objectives and quality management methods;
- Foster good relations with physicians and other organizations in the community.
- Administration and Advocacy
- Lead the development and enhancement of departmental activities, aligning with university visions and plans;
- Serve as a role model by demonstrating institutional citizenship and participating in governance and committee activities;
- Represent departmental interests and build partnerships with government, teaching hospitals, research institutes, and professional associations.
- Educational Strategy and Support
- Provide leadership in curriculum planning, development, and innovation at undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing education levels;
- Mentor faculty members to enhance their scholarly excellence and research productivity.
- Research
- Encourage a curiosity-driven research environment, promoting knowledge creation, transfer, and capacity building;
- Foster interdisciplinary research collaborations within the university and with external partners.
- MBBS/MD degree with relevant postgraduate training/certification in Emergency Medicine;
- Current academic rank with substantial experience in clinical operations and leadership;
- Exceptional leadership skills, judgment, and ability to foster unity and collaboration among team members.
