IT Infrastructure Manager

Job Title: IT Infrastructure Manager

This role requires a highly skilled professional with experience in managing teams of Database Administrators, Systems Engineers, Programmer Analysts, Coordinators, Support teams, and Trainees. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise in system infrastructure design, procurement, and maintenance.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the Continuing Professional Education function and coordinate procurement for technical guidance and assess new equipment for the IT department.
• Analyze access, information, and security requirements; design the system infrastructure.
• Plan and execute the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of server hardware, software, and operating systems.
• Maintain system performance through monitoring, analysis, and performance tuning.
• Design and run system load/stress tests; escalate application issues to the development team or vendor.
• Secure system access, monitor systems, and manage backups.
• Supervise and monitor team performance.
• Develop and continuously improve Quality Indicators (QI) and Policies & Procedures (P&P).
• Ensure effective implementation of policies and procedures.
• Maintain system availability according to defined standards.
• Communicate with vendors regarding customer support, product evaluation, and licensing.
• Project short-term and long-term resource requirements based on actual usage and IT plans.
• Refine, enhance, and enforce standards for system and database design and maintenance.
• Collaborate with the software development team on database design, sizing, and application enhancements.
• Plan manpower and recruit as needed.
• Report regularly on project progress, outcomes, and resource utilization.
• Stay updated with technological developments in related fields and provide technical leadership as required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT management.
• Strong technical skills in system infrastructure design, procurement, and maintenance.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
