Job Title: Assistant Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to join our team as an Assistant Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including books of accounts, journals, and ledgers.
  • Perform financial data entry in the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial information.
  • Manage tax deductions at source from payments to employees and vendors, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring timely submission and accuracy of financial information.
  • Prepare project costing reports, analyzing financial data to inform business decisions.
  • Monitor cash-flow position, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to optimize cash management.
  • Assist in preparing the budget, working closely with senior management to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Implement and maintain effective financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain cash controls, ensuring efficient and secure management of company funds.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial information.
  • Issue cheques for all accounts due, ensuring timely payment and accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Prepare income statements and monthly financial statements, providing insights into company performance and financial health.

Requirements:

  • MBA - Finance or related field.
  • Part qualified ACMA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in MS Office and accounting software like Peachtree and QuickBooks.
  • Knowledge of federal and local tax laws, corporate and labor laws.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of handling accounting matters with minimal supervision.
