
Financial Tracking Specialist

The financial tracking specialist is responsible for overseeing the monitoring of financial performance, ensuring accuracy of financial data, and supporting strategic decision-making through timely and insightful reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:- Track actual financial performance against budget, forecast, and long-term plans to inform business decisions.
- Analyze variances and provide insights on deviations with actionable recommendations to drive improvement.
- Monitor key financial and operational KPIs across business units and prepare performance dashboards to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Prepare and present periodic financial tracking reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for management to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Support the preparation of Board presentations, management packs, and investor reports to communicate financial performance effectively.
- Conduct trend analysis, historical performance reviews, and cost-benefit analyses to identify areas for cost optimization.
- Ensure accurate recording and monitoring of expenditures against budgets to prevent overspending.
- Track OPEX, CAPEX, project spends, and identify areas for cost optimization to drive business efficiency.
- Coordinate with budget owners to ensure compliance and highlight overruns proactively to mitigate risks.
- Establish robust processes for financial tracking, data collection, and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures for financial monitoring to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Support external and internal audit requirements with accurate data and analysis to ensure seamless audits.
- Lead and mentor team members in financial tracking processes and tools to foster a culture of analytical rigor and accountability.
- Provide training to team members on financial tracking best practices and industry trends to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Professional Certifications: CA, ACCA, CIMA, CMA, CFA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 8-10 years in financial planning, analysis, tracking, or controlling roles.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
