Job Description:

The primary school principal is responsible for promoting high standards of evidence-based learning and teaching by monitoring school progress across key performance indicators. This includes focusing on the improvement of the school and every student, ensuring that no child is left behind.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote high standards of learning and teaching
  • Recruit, develop, and empower teachers
  • Develop a culture of mutual learning and respect
Academic Responsibilities:
  • Ensure effective implementation of the Teacher Selection process
  • Develop and implement a school improvement plan based on need analysis
  • Monitor classroom quality through lesson planners and observations
  • Enhance teacher quality through demo sessions and feedback
  • Monitor student performance through re-checking copies and test papers as per policy
  • Manage co-curricular activities, timetable, assembly, library, laboratories, and academic resources; support weak students
  • Attend training sessions and conduct on-the-job training for faculty
  • Conduct term tests and examinations transparently and on time
  • Foster team spirit and motivate teachers to improve retention
Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Develop strong community relationships and promote awareness about education for all children, encouraging enrollment
  • Maintain required student strength through effective enrollment strategies
  • Outreach to teachers and maintain the CV bank
  • Coordinate with HR for staff hiring, retention, and performance management
  • Maintain discipline and promote positive character building among students and staff
  • Manage staff leaves and attendance to minimize classroom disruptions
  • Supervise the admin assistant in accounts and other matters
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date school accounts
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the building and premises
  • Manage utility services efficiently
  • Coordinate with the supervisor on board-related matters
  • Implement policies and ensure school activities align accordingly
  • Timely submit reports and documents
