Software Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Quality Assurance Manager to lead our QA team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, quality assurance, and leadership.

About the Role
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing QA strategies, processes, and standards aligned with organizational goals.
  • They will serve as the key QA advisor, guiding development teams on testing best practices within microservices architecture.
  • This role requires collaboration with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Define, implement, and optimize QA strategies, processes, and standards aligned with organizational goals.
  2. Serve as the key QA advisor, guiding development teams on testing best practices within microservices architecture.
  3. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and quality standards.
  4. Promote a culture of quality, focusing on defect prevention and timely issue resolution.
  5. Design and execute detailed test plans and cases for functional, integration, and system testing.
  6. Develop and maintain automation test suites for regression testing using frameworks like Selenium or Cypress.
  7. Lead exploratory and manual testing for edge cases to ensure optimal user experience.
  8. Implement API testing for microservices with tools like Postman or RestAssured.
  9. Conduct SAST and DAST to identify vulnerabilities in code and applications.
  10. Ensure adherence to OWASP standards and security best practices in QA processes.
  11. Work with DevOps and Security teams to integrate security testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  12. Implement performance testing strategies with tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
  13. Monitor application performance under load and provide improvement recommendations.
  14. Optimize existing QA workflows for efficiency and reduced time-to-market.
  15. Introduce modern testing methodologies, tools, and techniques to stay industry-aligned.
  16. Mentor and develop the skills of the QA team.
  17. Collaborate early with development teams for shift-left testing approaches.
  18. Participate actively in Agile/Scrum workflows, including sprint planning and reviews.
  19. Provide clear defect reports, test results, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
