Resident Medical Officer (Cardiothoracic Surgery)
About the RoleWe invite applications for the position of Resident Medical Officer (Cardiothoracic Surgery) in a dynamic Department of Surgery.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Assessments and Care: Perform initial patient assessments, documentation, and follow-ups before consulting with Consultants. Attend to emergency room calls promptly.
- Operative Procedures: Conduct initial assessments and formulate management plans in consultation with senior residents or Consultants on call. Assist/perform operative procedures under supervision and document them.
- Clinical Decision Making: Communicate findings and plans to patients and families, and document accordingly. Participate in daily ward rounds with team members and communicate assessment results to Consultants.
- Qualifications: MBBS degree from a recognized institution by PMDC. One year of internship training. FCPS Part I.
- Skills and Knowledge: Ability to perform initial assessments, including history taking and physical examinations. Ability to collect accurate information about patients. Knowledge of developing and carrying out good initial patient management plans.
