Job Description:

Assist in overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, network devices, and computer systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, network devices, and computer systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and manage server backups, disaster recovery plans, and data protection protocols to prevent data loss and ensure business continuity.
  • Provide second-level technical support to IT staff and end-users, troubleshooting system errors, application bugs, network outages, and hardware failures.
  • Ensure system security and user access management in compliance with institutional policies, conducting regular audits and risk assessments as needed.
  • Lead and guide IT support staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing feedback for improvement.
  • Conduct periodic training sessions for staff and faculty on new tools or policies to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Maintain documentation of IT procedures, asset inventory, and support logs to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in planning and implementing IT projects such as campus automation, smart classrooms, and digital transformation, working closely with stakeholders to ensure successful execution.
  • Ensure timely execution of IT tasks during admissions, exams, and major university events, prioritizing tasks and managing resources to meet deadlines.
  • Contribute to IT strategy development and infrastructure upgrades, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security standards, data privacy laws, and internal IT policies, staying up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
