Product Development Manager

We are seeking a skilled Product Development Manager to oversee end-to-end product development from inception to shipment, ensuring quality, vendor, price, and timely delivery.

This individual will be responsible for managing costing, negotiating prices with buyers and suppliers, monitoring sampling approval processes, handling lab dips, bulk color, and quality submissions for timely and accurate execution.

In addition, they will follow up on production status, ensure on-time delivery reporting, build constructive relationships with customers and channel partners through effective communication, and coordinate with the compliance team for factory audits and corrective action plans.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of socks manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim, and print techniques, as well as strong negotiation and vendor management abilities.

They should possess excellent analytical skills, exceptional communication and collaboration skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe products.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end product development from inception to shipment, ensuring quality, vendor, price, and timely delivery.
  • Oversee product development, manage costing, and negotiate prices with buyers and suppliers.
  • Monitor sampling approval processes, handle lab dips, bulk color, and quality submissions for timely and accurate execution.
  • Follow up on production status and ensure on-time delivery reporting.
  • Build constructive relationships with customers and channel partners through effective communication.
  • Ensure vendors schedule inspections, book shipping space, and hand over goods on time.
  • Coordinate with the compliance team for factory audits and corrective action plans.
  • Update internal customers on production and shipment status.
  • Manage operational activities from proto sample development to fabric and trim creation.
  • Communicate order details and requirements to suppliers, ensuring quantity, quality, and delivery dates are met.
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers as designated by senior merchandisers or managers.
  • Identify and diagnose production problems, presenting alternatives to buyers and management.

Our Ideal Candidate:

We seek a Product Development Manager with a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, or a related field, and at least 4-5 years of proven experience in product development.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of product development processes, excellent analytical skills, exceptional communication and collaboration skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe products.

They should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality results.
