As a Product Development Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by overseeing product development, supplier coordination, and order execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Sourcing:
    • Research and identify high-quality suppliers/vendors for materials/products.
    • Negotiate costs, MOQs (Minimum Order Quantities), and payment terms to optimize margins.
    • Coordinate sample development, approvals, and tech packs to ensure timely delivery of goods.
    Order Management:
    • Prepare and track Purchase Orders (POs) ensuring accuracy in specs, timelines, and pricing.
    • Monitor production schedules to meet deadlines and escalate delays to prevent losses.
    • Conduct pre-shipment inspections (quality, quantity, compliance) to ensure products meet customer expectations.
    Supply Chain Optimization:
    • Liaise with suppliers, factories, logistics teams, and QC departments to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
    • Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery to warehouses/retailers to maintain customer satisfaction.
    • Resolve issues related to delays, defects, or documentation to minimize disruptions.
    Cost Analysis & Pricing:
    • Analyze cost breakdowns (materials, labor, freight) to identify areas for cost reduction and optimize margins.
    • Update pricing sheets and compare supplier quotes for cost efficiency to drive profitability.
    Inventory & Sales Support:
    • Monitor stock levels and recommend reorders or markdowns to maintain optimal inventory levels.
    • Collaborate with sales/marketing teams on promotions or new launches to drive sales growth.
    • Provide sales data analysis (e.g., sell-through rates, slow-moving items) to inform business decisions.
    Reporting & Documentation:
    • Maintain records of orders, invoices, and supplier contracts to ensure accurate tracking and compliance.
    • Generate reports on order status, cost variances, and supplier performance to inform business strategies.
    Requirements:
    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
    • Experience: 2–3 years in merchandising/procurement (apparel, retail preferred).

This is a full-time position that requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
