Job Summary

This role involves overseeing the operational security of an organization by developing and implementing effective security strategies. The ideal candidate will have expertise in monitoring and analyzing security logs from cloud-based systems, administering Microsoft Defender portal, and developing detection rules to identify potential threats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive deployment plan for MS Sentinel Administration to ensure seamless integration with existing security infrastructure.
  • Analyze security logs from Azure to identify patterns and anomalies that may indicate a security breach.
  • Deploy and administer Microsoft Defender portal and Purview alerts and events to provide real-time threat intelligence.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop incident response plans and contain identified threats.
  • Utilize advanced security queries to proactively search for potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or Information Security.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in operational security, including security operations center, incident response, SOAR, and SIEM platforms.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (HIPAA, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, CIS).
  • Strong knowledge of network security & communication protocols (ICMP, TCP/IP, HTTP, SNMP).
  • Experience creating use cases under the Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK framework.
