About the Role

We seek a skilled and motivated financial professional with 0-1 years of relevant experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in financial analysis, excellent written communication skills, and exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaboration with Payments Department:
    • Support the payments department in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
    • Review payment processes and procedures to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements or risk mitigation.
    • Monitor payment transactions to detect any irregularities or discrepancies and take appropriate action to resolve them.
    • Work closely with the payments team to reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
  • Accounting Functions:
    • Assist the accounting function to ensure that financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting standards.
    • Review journal entries, ledgers, and other accounting records prepared by the accounting team.
    • Conduct periodic audits of financial records to verify their accuracy and integrity, and address any discrepancies or issues identified.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Support the financial reporting process, collaborating with the accounting team to compile financial data and prepare accurate and timely financial statements.
    • Analyze financial statements and provide insights to the line manager on key financial metrics, trends, and performance indicators.
  • Cross-Functional Communication:
    • Serve as a liaison between different units such as payments, accounting, and financial reporting, facilitating communication and collaboration on financial matters.
    • Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss financial performance, issues, and initiatives that impact multiple departments.
    • Provide support to other units as needed, such as assisting with budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency across departments involved in financial operations.
    • Implement integrated systems or software solutions to automate repetitive tasks, enhance data accuracy, and improve workflow efficiency.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders from different units to develop and implement standardized procedures for financial transactions, reporting, and reconciliation.
