Technical Support Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer to join our organization. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:
  • This position involves managing and tracking technical support cases, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, and providing guidance to colleagues within the support team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and alerting stakeholders on larger issues and trends, and understanding the magnitude and scope of these issues.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine how to resolve support issues, making necessary changes to underlying data/hardware/process and applying them with minimal user disruption.
  • Determine the root cause of errors/bugs, using available data and tools to trace the origin of inconsistencies and report them to Technical Leads.
  • Perform analysis of data to determine impact/prevalence of issues, utilizing analytics tools like Redash.
  • Utilize tools developed by the engineering team to modify user/vehicle data for resolving support issues.
  • Communicate with customers regarding reported issues, escalated cases, and urgent inquiries to minimize customer churn.
  • Report as On-Call Technical Support Engineer during designated rotations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year tenure in Technical Support or 2 years in Customer Support
  • Fluent English language skills, both spoken and written
  • Able to work effectively in a professional team environment
  • Computer Science or Engineering educational background
  • An exceptional performer with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with Hardware and Firmware level troubleshooting
  • Flexibility to participate in on-call rotations
