**Procurement Specialist for Packaging Materials**

This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies to ensure cost efficiency and high quality of packaging materials. As a key member of the supply chain team, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.

You will collaborate with production teams to understand their needs and provide procurement support. Additionally, you will identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct market research, and maintain a robust supplier database. Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions is also a critical aspect of this role.

To succeed in this position, you will need to monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders is essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing procurement strategies to ensure cost efficiency and high quality of packaging materials.
  2. Managing the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.
  3. Collaborating with production teams to understand their needs and provide procurement support.
  4. Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, conducting market research, and maintaining a robust supplier database.
  5. Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
  6. Monitoring and managing supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on packing materials in the FMCG sector. Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills are essential. Additionally, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, proficiency in procurement software and tools, and strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

A strong understanding of industry trends and best practices in procurement is also necessary. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is vital.
