Quality Engineer Position

Job Summary:

Our organization is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have expertise in building automated testing, including test suites and reporting capabilities, to ensure the accuracy and consistency of our systems.

The Quality Engineer will work closely with our data engineers to develop tools and processes that warrant the correctness of the functionality and data. They will also collaborate with other teams to ensure we have accurate data across all platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering quality products and be eager to learn new tools and technologies to improve our quality cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Nurture a culture of quality through collaboration with teammates.
  • Develop quality-focused test strategies.
  • Define quality metrics and build monitoring solutions.
  • Mentor/coach team members on testing coverage.
  • Contribute to process improvements and refine QE practices.
  • Recommend best test practices and evangelize a testing early culture.
  • Work with multiple teams to gather requirements and design test plans.
  • Design and document test cases and test data.
  • Perform exploratory/manual tests as needed.
  • Collaborate with data partners to troubleshoot issues.
  • Write, execute, and monitor automated test suites.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of testing experience.
  • Experience in programming languages like Python, Java, Golang.
  • Understanding of databases and ORMs.
  • Ability to define technical standards and guidelines.
  • Experience with modern QE principles like Continuous Testing and Shift Left.
  • Clear understanding of different testing principles.
  • Solid experience in writing test plans and test cases.
  • Experience in building automated test suites for APIs.
  • Proficiency in using schema validation tools.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful principles and JSON schema validation.
  • Proficiency in managing test data and mocking/stubbing.
  • Experience with testing tools like Postman and K6.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Playwright and Selenium.
  • Good understanding of service-oriented architecture.
  • Experience with cloud environments like AWS and source control tools like Github.
