Job Overview

The Centre Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a conference centre, ensuring that all events run smoothly and efficiently. This includes managing budgets, financial plans, and staff, as well as taking responsibility for sales and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with the management team to plan work schedules and meet client requirements;
  • Deal with customer complaints, comments, and enquiries in a timely and professional manner;
  • Ensure that all events are well-planned and executed, meeting the needs of clients and attendees;
  • Manage budgets and financial plans to ensure the centre's financial stability;
  • Take responsibility for the recruitment, training, organization, and monitoring of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively;
  • Achieve profit targets through effective sales and marketing strategies;
  • Take responsibility for the sales and marketing of the conference centre, including pricing, promotions, image/brand, and profile;
  • Lead by example in maintaining service standards of the institute, promoting a positive and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike;
  • Research markets to identify new business opportunities and implement strategies to capitalize on them;
  • Purchase equipment necessary for the education centre to operate effectively;
  • Day-to-day troubleshooting and addressing problems as they arise.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A preferred degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or a similar field;
  • A friendly, energetic, and welcoming nature;
  • A working knowledge of current education trends;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate and contribute as an integral part of a small team;
  • At least an MBA with experience running a computer professional institute independently;
  • Day-to-day control function of Career Counselor, SRO, and Marketing.
