Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated finance professional to lead our team. The ideal candidate should have completed their chartered accountancy articles from a reputable firm, with a specific focus on audit/accounting.

The successful candidate will possess knowledge and hands-on experience with accounting software and demonstrate proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

The candidate must be capable of handling pressure and meeting deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of 5-10 members and ensure efficient workflow and coordination.
  2. Handle various accounting tasks, including financial statement preparation, payroll, and sales tax report preparation for foreign clients.
  3. Utilize accounting software, such as Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks, for data entry and financial reporting.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
  5. Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  6. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
  7. Train junior team members effectively.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  9. Perform other ad hoc accounting and finance tasks as required.

Requirements:

  1. Chartered accountancy inter (articles from a reputable firm) / ACCA with 2-3 years of experience in a reputable accounting/auditing firm.
  2. Proficiency in using accounting software, particularly NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Xero.
  3. Strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  4. Ability to handle pressure, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Excellent leadership skills and the ability to lead and motivate the team.
  6. In-depth understanding of financial statements and payroll taxes.
  7. Strong multitasking abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
