About the Role:
\We are seeking an experienced educator to join our faculty as a lecturer in Optometry/Orthoptics. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students, fostering a stimulating academic environment, and contributing to the development of educational programs.
\Key Responsibilities:

- Foster a culture of academic excellence by setting challenging targets and objectives for students, aligned with the university's mission.\
- Develop and deliver innovative teaching strategies to enhance experiential learning, critical thinking, and debate among students.\
- Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements, providing constructive feedback and guidance.\
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, monitor attendance, and provide support to students under the Riphah Mentoring Program.\
- Contribute to the planning and execution of educational programs, ensuring alignment with the university's mission and values.\
- Engage in research activities, publishing findings through publications and disseminating them through appropriate media.\
- Serve as a line manager, supervising others in research teams and projects, or PhD supervision when required.\
- Pursue additional duties as assigned by the Head, while maintaining a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.\
- Integrate Islamic and ethical values into teaching practices, participating in departmental and university committee activities as necessary.\
- Monitor student attendance in classes, labs, and practicals, ensuring a conducive learning environment.\
- Apply research outcomes in real-world settings, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field.\
- Conduct independent research and act as principal investigator and project leader, leading research teams and projects.\
- Ensure teaching content aligns with RIU's mission, responding to subordinate and student needs, and serving as a role model in academic excellence.\
