Job Title: Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team. This is a crucial role that requires strong knowledge of accounting processes, tax compliance, and financial reconciliation.

  • This position involves ensuring timely payments to local and foreign vendors in compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting software, including SAP configuration.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records, including vendor subsidiary ledgers and staff T&E claims, is also a key responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Process vendor payments, ensuring compliance with tax laws and proper documentation.
  2. Coordinate with banks for import payments, ensuring timely deposit of withheld taxes.
  3. Maintain and enhance income tax compliance processes within SAP.
  4. Ensure all tax compliance and withholding requirements are met when processing payments to external vendors.
  5. Manage the payment status and schedules for special projects.
  6. Reconcile vendor subsidiary ledgers with the accounting system.
  7. Assess cash flow requirements related to vendor payment as per credit period.
  8. Proactively coordinate with vendors to address any payment-related issues.
  9. Provide support for external statutory audits and tax audits.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of experience in vendor payments, tax compliance, and financial reconciliation at supervisory level.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP and local tax compliance regulations.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
