About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our childcare facility, you will be responsible for creating a safe, healthy, and engaging environment for children.
Duties and Responsibilities- Create engaging and educational activities that promote language, cognitive, and motor skills development in children.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children through polite communication and by teaching courteous behaviors.
- Read to and with children to foster a love for literature and learning.
- Plan and supervise rest, bed, and nap times to ensure children's physical and emotional well-being.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment throughout the day by developing a comprehensive cleaning routine.
- Communicate effectively with parents in case of emergencies and keep HR informed of any situations.
- Schedule children's activities and share monthly plans with HR to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Supervise and monitor children's safety during the day to prevent any potential hazards.
- Evaluate and maintain the availability of childcare supplies and equipment, reporting any required maintenance to HR.
- A high school diploma, with further training in early childhood development or a Montessori diploma being an asset.
- Proven experience in childcare, preferably in an office environment.
- A first aid certification is a plus.
- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing circumstances.
- The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
