Job Opportunity: Data Collection Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized professional to join our team as a Data Collection Specialist. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and experience in conducting surveys and interviews.

About the Job

This is a grant-funded position that involves conducting participant screening and recruitment, administering structured surveys and questionnaires, collecting and recording data, and coordinating with participants to schedule interviews and manage appointments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct participant screening and recruitment
  • Administer structured surveys and questionnaires
  • Collect, record, and ensure the accuracy of quantitative and qualitative data
  • Transcribe qualitative interviews while maintaining participant confidentiality
  • Organize and document study materials and field notes
  • Coordinate with participants to schedule interviews and manage appointments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An intermediate degree from a recognized board
  • At least one year of experience in community-based data collection
  • A strong understanding of field research protocols, including participant consent and ethical guidelines
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and data entry platforms; experience with REDCap is highly preferred
  • The ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with diverse community members
  • Fluency in Sindhi is essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages such as Urdu and Sindhi
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within diverse teams
