We are seeking an enthusiastic and outgoing Visitor Services Associate to join our team.

Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional customer service to visitors and supporting the daily front desk procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement daily opening and closing procedures for the building, ensuring public spaces are secure
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, answering and directing phone calls, addressing visitor inquiries, and offering information on museum tickets, special experiences, and programs
  • Process reservations, issue timed-entry tickets, handle cash, check, and charge transactions, and share knowledge of historical events and unique features
  • Conduct and assist with tours and programs, utilizing strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse colleagues and visitors
Key Qualifications:
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with at least one year of experience in visitor or guest services (preferably in a museum setting)
  • Strong customer service skills, flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities, and proficiency in computer software, including ticketing and customer relationship systems
  • Ability to learn quickly, navigate new technologies, and track and record daily attendance figures
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be working in an office environment within a combination of areas, including the museum building, visitor center, and various locations, with moderate lifting and climbing of ladders required.
