Machine Operator Job Description

About the Role:

The Machine Operator plays a pivotal part in our production team, accountable for operating and maintaining machinery to ensure seamless production flow while meeting quality standards and safety requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operate assigned machines and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions, adjust controls, and maintain smooth production.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of machines.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Record production data, downtime, and machine performance in logs or ERP systems.
  • Report any equipment faults, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
  • Support the production team in achieving daily/weekly targets.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational certification is an asset.
  • Proven experience as a machine operator or in a manufacturing environment.
  • Fundamental knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
  • Able to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and measurements.
  • Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
