Job Title: Academic Educator

As an Academic Educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students. Your primary objective will be to enhance the academic performance of our students by imparting knowledge and skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

  • Meet annual targets assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).">
  • Work collaboratively with the Dean/Principal to secure a high-quality teaching and learning environment for students.">
  • Teach assigned courses as per faculty workload policy.">
  • Develop your own teaching and learning skills and contribute to planning of teaching programs.">
  • Employ innovative teaching strategies and facilitate experiential learning during lessons.">
  • Challenge thinking, foster debate, and develop the ability of students to engage in critical discourse and rational thinking.">
  • Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements.">
  • Set, mark, and assess work and examinations and provide feedback to students.">
  • Maintain records of students' academic performance for internal evaluation.">
  • Execute mentoring of 15 to 20 students.">
  • Update data in Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and other required software.">
  • Link and inculcate Islamic and ethical values in teaching.">
  • Participate in departmental and university committees as required.">
  • Ensure teaching content and methods of delivery align with the University's mission.">
  • Respond to issues relating to subordinates and student needs.">
  • Supervise/randomly check student attendance in classes/labs/practicals.">
  • Write or contribute to publications and disseminate research findings.">
  • Seek practical application of research findings.">
  • Carry out independent research and act as principal investigator and project leader.">
  • Act as line manager and supervise the work of others.">
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head.">

The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire students. A postgraduate degree in a relevant field is desirable, along with experience in teaching and education.
