About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Tax Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our tax compliance department, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation of statutory tax filings and maintaining complete and accurate tax documentation.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in relevant tax laws and regulations, as well as business acumen and experience working in tax compliance with a large corporation or Big Four accounting firm. Leadership skills, including strong communication and project management skills, are also essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Tax Activities: Prepare statutory tax filings, apply tax laws, and maintain complete and accurate tax documentation.
  • Contribute to Strong Controls and Compliance Environment: Comply with tax policies and support audit activities.
  • Perform Special Projects and Analyses: Work with tax consultants to identify opportunities for tax savings.
Requirements:
  • Technical Expertise: Relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Business Acumen: Experience working in tax compliance with a large corporation or Big Four accounting firm.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Growth/Digital Mindset: Ability to leverage technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Compliance Requirements:
  • Direct Tax Laws: Income tax ordinance of Pakistan.
  • Transfer Pricing Rules: Ensure compliance with transfer pricing rules and withholding income tax rules.
Education/Certifications:
  • Post Graduate/Masters Degree: Finance.
Experience:
  • Strong 4+ Years: Experience in Tax compliance, Financial Accounting, and reporting ideally with a MNC with exposure of tax.
