Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Proposal Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and editing compelling content, including proposals, concept notes, and letters of inquiry, for various donors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Draft and Edit Proposals: Develop and edit high-quality proposal documents, ensuring they meet donor requirements and expectations.
  2. Contribute to Technical Writing: Collaborate with program, M&E, and finance teams to draft technical and financial proposals, demonstrating advanced technical writing skills.
  3. Lead Proposal Preparation: Oversee the grant proposal development process, from research to submission, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  4. Facilitate Stakeholder Engagement: Support and lead discussions with stakeholders, building relationships with potential donors and partners.
  5. Manage Documentation and Coordinate with Departments: Compile and organize all required documentation for submissions, working closely with operations and finance departments.
  6. Maintain Proposal Tracking Systems: Create and update proposal calendars, ensuring team members are aware of upcoming deadlines and submission requirements.
  7. Support Budget Development: Gather cost information, input data into budget templates, and assist with financial component development.
  8. Quality Control: Proofread and edit proposal documents for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and adherence to funder requirements.
  9. File Management: Establish and maintain organized digital filing systems for all proposal materials, ensuring easy retrieval of information.
  10. Submission Assistance: Complete required forms and navigate online submission portals to ensure timely and accurate proposal delivery.
  11. Internal Communication: Coordinate with team members across departments to gather necessary technical/methodological information, ensuring accurate reflection of organizational capabilities.
  12. Track Outcomes: Monitor submission status, maintain comprehensive records of all proposals, and prepare reports on proposal activities and success rates.
