Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled chef with expertise in preparing traditional Afghan dishes. As our chef, you will be responsible for creating memorable meals in a home-based kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and Cook Dishes: Prepare a variety of traditional Afghan appetizers, main courses, and desserts, ensuring authenticity and high quality.
- Menu Development: Assist in developing and refining the menu, incorporating both classic recipes and innovative ideas.
- Ingredient Management: Oversee the selection, preparation, and storage of ingredients to ensure freshness and proper handling.
- Kitchen Management: Manage kitchen operations efficiently within a home setting, including maintaining cleanliness and adhering to health and safety standards.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's standards for taste, presentation, and portion size.
- Culinary Expertise: In-depth knowledge and experience in preparing traditional Afghan dishes.
- Culinary Experience: Proven experience as a chef, ideally in a similar role or within a home-based kitchen environment.
- Creativity and Innovation: Ability to create and adapt recipes while maintaining traditional flavors.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently in a home-based setting and manage time effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Communication Skills: Effective communicator with a professional approach to customer service.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Afghan cuisine is required.
