Financial Accountant Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned financial accountant to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial record-keeping, accounting principles, and proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Transaction Recording: Accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process within the designated timeframe.
  • Invoice Processing: Post invoice batches within the sales module and ensure invoices are deferred correctly.
  • A/R Management: Prepare AR aging reports, assist in the allowance for doubtful accounts provision, send monthly AR statements, and follow up on customer payments.
  • Cash Application: Process customer account credits, return memos, cash receipts, and apply them against invoices.
  • Customer Invoicing: Coordinate and prepare customer invoices and reconcile monthly invoice activity for completeness and accuracy.
  • Support Coordination: Coordinate and manage all relevant support relating to customer invoices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Accounting Experience: Proven bookkeeping/accounting experience with a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles.
  • Financial Analysis: Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Data Entry Skills: Proficiency in data entry with a knack for numbers and hands-on experience with spreadsheets.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and proprietary software.
  • Professional Qualifications: Professional Accounting qualification or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting.
