As a Backend Engineer at our technology consulting team, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining server-side components that power our AI solutions and integrate with machine learning systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Scalable Backends: Create high-performance, scalable backend services and APIs supporting AI applications, leveraging your expertise in Python and relevant frameworks.
  • Integrate with AI Models: Collaborate with Data Engineers and ML/NLP Engineers to create seamless integration between backend systems and AI models, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Implement RESTful APIs: Implement RESTful APIs and interfaces for AI model deployment, inference, and monitoring, ensuring robust security measures and easy maintenance.
  • Optimize Database Schemas: Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, and data access patterns for AI-driven applications, achieving optimal performance and scalability.
  • Build Fault-Tolerant Systems: Build robust, fault-tolerant systems that handle large volumes of data and requests efficiently, minimizing downtime and errors.
  • Implement Authentication and Authorization: Implement authentication, authorization, and security measures to protect sensitive data, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Develop Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for APIs, backend services, and processes, ensuring clarity and ease of use.
  • Participate in Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical planning, contributing to the improvement of the engineering team.
  • Troubleshoot Complex Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues in production environments, applying analytical and problem-solving skills.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Backend Development Experience: At least 2 years of experience in backend development with a focus on Python, showcasing proficiency in relevant technologies.
  • Python Expertise: Expertise in Python web frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask, demonstrating ability to work with multiple frameworks.
  • Strong API Design Skills: Strong knowledge of RESTful API design, development, and documentation, ensuring well-designed and efficient APIs.
  • Database Expertise: Experience with database technologies, including SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis), showing understanding of data storage and retrieval.
  • API Integration and Containerization: Proficiency in API integration, microservices architecture, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), enabling efficient deployment and scaling.
  • Asynchronous Processing and WebSockets: Experience with asynchronous processing, task queuing systems (Celery, RabbitMQ), and WebSockets, demonstrating ability to handle concurrent tasks.
  • Cloud Platforms and Serverless Architectures: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and serverless architectures, showing understanding of modern computing paradigms.
  • AI/ML Deployment and Support: Understanding of AI/ML deployment requirements and support for data science teams, ensuring successful collaboration.
  • Security Best Practices: Knowledge of security best practices and authentication systems (OAuth, JWT), applying secure coding principles and protecting sensitive data.
