Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Develop and implement procedures for continuous improvement and repeatable processes.
- Ensure consistency and completeness across customer systems by maintaining accurate records and data sets.
- Research complex technical problems and collaborate with teams to identify effective solutions.
- Provide expert guidance on SQL tuning, backup and recovery support, and installation/configuration of Microsoft SQL Server & Oracle.
- Write SSRS reports and Power BI solutions to enhance data visualization and insights.
- Monitor and maintain database backups, optimization jobs, and integrity checks to prevent data loss and corruption.
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and report development to improve overall system efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technology adoption and provide expertise on new initiatives.
- Lead the technical direction for Database Administration by coordinating and presenting technology solutions to stakeholders.
- Participate in detailed design and product testing as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
- 2-7 years of experience providing database administration services in the Windows environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex problems and document solutions.
- Proficient in T-SQL, PL/SQL, and writing complex SQL queries.
- Experience with instance configuration and tuning, query tuning, and database upgrades.
- Knowledge of advanced concepts such as database replication, materialized views, and standby databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure independently and in a team environment.
